Married : Caitlin & Doug : Bohemian Sunflower Wedding at The Country Loft

You couldn’t have asked for a lovelier day for an August wedding. It was precisely two years since their “half date,” the day Doug & Caitlin met under the tree alongside the trickling pond at The Country Loft in Woodbury, Connecticut to say, “I Do.”

It was an intimate occasion, embellished with Sunflowers, Delphinium, and Bells of Ireland, calling upon a collection of the closest family and friends, and a timeline of events uniquely suited to C&D’s character, as well as their three, beautiful children.

In the bridal suite, Caitlin readied with Doug by her side, donning the silky white dress they found together in The Netherlands. Just as they finished, a freshly delivered bottle of chilled prosecco topped itself off, the cork ricocheting off the ceiling into the bride’s glass in one fell swoop, an all-to-abundant sign the pieces where coming together as they should.

The cocktail hour was a time for initial greetings, commencing promptly as guests arrived. As the ceremony drew near, guests made the short jaunt downhill for C+D’s open-air ceremony. The gathering parted to two sides as Caitlin, accompanied by her daughter, walked down the aisle to meet Doug and his two girls. The words and emotions exchanged were impassioned, expressing a devoted, deep love for one another that is truly one in a million.

The united family walked off, hand-in-hand, with genuine exhilaration, anticipation and staunch commitment for one another, the growing bond, and all of the good times ahead.
