It is with ridiculous amounts of anticipation I bring you Christie & Tommy’s rustic and blush wedding in the Catskills, because today is the day their fine occasion was published on Style Me Pretty!!!!! Click here for the feature.

High school sweethearts, Christie and Tommy have been together for more than a decade. The native Long Islanders sought an escape from the busy city to celebrate what would be the best day of their lives. In the heart of the Catskills, just a hop-skip from where the duo vacations and hunts deer and duck, C&T settled on the serene, woodland property of the Roxbury Barn. And on July 19, 2014, the two said “I do.”

Tommy, the hunter, and Christie, the gatherer, assembled much of the big day with their own two hands. Tommy crafted the 16-foot barnwood tables from a felled barn down the road from the venue, while Christie collected every single piece of China, glassware, furniture and the antique yard games for prime cocktail hour entertainment. They even brought their beloved furry family, Kiera and Joey to say “I do too.”

Readying in mid-nineteenth century home, the bride and her best girls since juvenescence sipped on bubbly clothed in robes, a jubilant glimmer in their eyes. The couple wedded at the top of a hill in a pine grove beneath cool, gray skies and surrounded by pale, blush pinks, vintage textures, and everyone who mattered. The reception glistened at twilight and with hanging lights, and the night cozily and tranquilly came to a close by the bonfire.

Dedicated in loving memory to Tommy’s mother, Sandra Ann Franklin, a loving, strong and vivacious woman who left this world much too soon.
