B&Co. at Home : Our First Spring Flowers : Home & Garden

A green thumb and purveyor of prettiness, my husband and I have been itching to see what buds our perennial garden holds at our new home. It’s much like Christmastime for a gardener to finally see all the care in the colors and the love sewn into the soil reveal itself in the first spring bloom. One month ago to date, Chris and I planted our first tree – an Elberta Peach Tree – which we quickly dubbed Alberta and adoringly refer to as Bertie for short. Just like the pretty girl she is, Bertie took well to her planting, blossoming a plethora of petite pink petals. Our fingers remain crossed for fruit sometime this year.

Here’s to fields of daffodils and periwinkle, whimsy greenery and burning bushes, pots and peonies.
Happy May Day.

xoxo,
B&Co.

P.S. – A quick reprieve from the brisk spring awaits a hop skip away from home along Wooster Square in New Haven, Connecticut. Oh, cherry blossoms, how I love you.
